Dream drives

The cars I drove because driving should still feel like something.

Not first-car picks. These are the cars I wanted to understand from the driver's seat — full reviews linked.

Lexus LC500

The car I kept thinking about since 2019, finally in front of me.

This one was never about being sensible. I wanted to know if the LC500 still felt special after the poster-car part wore off, and it did, mostly because it feels expensive in a calm way. The V8 is the headline, but the thing I remember is how the whole car makes normal roads feel like an occasion.

Porsche 718 Boxster

The kind of car that reminds you why the road matters.

I went in expecting the Porsche badge to do a lot of the work, but the car itself is the point. The engine sits behind you, the steering is clean, and it does not need a giant number to feel alive. It is not the loudest dream car here, but it might be the easiest one to understand after five minutes.

BMW M4 (2018)

Still sharp, still a little serious, and not trying to be polite.

The M4 feels like a car from a very specific BMW era, and that is why I wanted to drive it. It has power everywhere, but it also asks you to pay attention, especially when the road gets rough or the throttle gets greedy. I like that it has edges. Not every good car needs to smooth everything out.

Mercedes CLE 300

A relaxed convertible that makes you notice more, not rush more.

The CLE 300 is not trying to be the fastest car in this group, and that is kind of the lesson. With the top down, you hear traffic better, feel speed differently, and become more aware of what is happening around you. It turns an ordinary drive into something calmer without pretending to be a track car.
